I love to switch up my diet a bit as the seasons change (check out my "spring eats" from last year, here). And summer is no exception. With all the extra free time (no classes in summer!), it is definitely one of my favorite times for trying out new recipes. Summer also gets me inspired to experiment with ingredients like citrus fruits, coconut, and other light and crisp fruits and veggies. The weather is progressively heating up in LA and I find myself craving salads of any kind, refreshing smoothies, and anything that can be grilled outside. In fact, this past weekend my roommates and I threw our first barbecue, with a menu that included chicken kabobs, black bean salsa, and pasta salad (to name just a few). Here are some of the recipes that are sure to inspire my future summer cookin'.
